STOP #11
The Celtic Cross

In memory and recognition of the canal workers the Celtic Cross is a wonderful representation of faith. The Celtic Cross first emerged in Ireland in the early Middle Ages. Subject to many different interpretations, the Celtic Cross is said to be a expression of knowledge, strength and compassion.
